Teaching and Learning Observation College (TLOC) Champions at the University of Nottingham demonstrate a deep commitment to the enhancement of teaching and learning and the student experience through influencing and leading the professional development of others. They promote engagement with teaching observations and professional dialogues through TLOC within their faculty, school or department and support the development and growth of an active TLOC community. Core competencies include reflexivity, critical evaluation, influencing and leading the support practice of others, provision of feedback and the ability to think strategically. TLOC Champions play a critical role in sustaining and enhancing the University's learning organisation ethos (learning to learn together), contributing to the professional development of their peers (and self), and supporting the University’s broader strategic goals. We want the university to be a place where learning is part of everything we do, every day. This will help us to adapt effectively in the face of change, be more agile and create a connected culture where everyone is able to learn from each other.
